    Lou Gehrig’s Disease, also called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), is a diagnosed disease that rapidly progresses the nervous system. ALS attaches to the brain and does not send specific signals required for proper muscle function. As a result, muscles will weaken, and the body loses movement and control. Eventually, a patient with ALS will lose the ability to move their body, so a caregiver is needed to assist them with daily tasks.

  • Multiple Sclerosis

    Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) is a degenerative disorder that affects the brain and central nervous system. In addition, M.S. also disables the brain and spinal cord, attacking the nerves and causing complications between the brain and body. Complications from M.S. include motor skill problems and the inability to walk independently. M.S. is unpredictable, with patients of all ages, sexes, and ethnicities.   • Parkinson’s Disease (P.D.)

    Parkinson’s Disease, also called P.D., affects an area of the brain that produces dopamine. Tremors and a lack of movement are common symptoms for individuals diagnosed with this progressive disease. Some other symptoms of P.D. include; slow motion, stiffness, constipation, depression, and fatigue. Roughly one million individuals in the U.S. have been diagnosed and are living with Parkinson’s Disease. P.D. is commonly known to affect the elderly; however, there are cases in which individuals younger than 20 have been diagnosed.
